Alphonse Typeface

Project Type

‘Alphonse’ is an uppercase decorative display serif inspired by the beauty of the Art Nouveau period. This typeface draws inspiration from the natural elements in the world around us much like what inspired the artists in the original movement. Organic Curling embellishments, twisting vertical stems, an asymmetrical shape and a high x-height make up the main parts of this typeface’s characteristics. Due to its decorative style, it is aimed to be used on signage and invitations to stand out from the popular modern sans-serifs.
